Website use, booking arrangements and the details to settle before a motorcycle move. Updated 1 November 2026.
This page explains website use and the arrangements to settle with Bike Transport Chandigarh before a motorcycle move. Keep the written quotation and booking confirmation with these details. If anything is unclear or inconsistent, ask the team to clarify it before payment or handover.
1. Website information and enquiries
The website’s price bands are indicative budgets, not fixed tariffs for every bike or address. A submitted form, phone call or enquiry acknowledgement does not by itself confirm availability, reserve transport or confirm a booking.
Before treating a move as booked, check that you and the team have agreed the written quotation, dates, locations and scope. An estimate for one city, model or address should not be treated as a confirmed price for another.
2. Quotation and booking details
- The quotation should identify the motorcycle, pickup and delivery addresses, included work, total charges, taxes, payment stages and estimated schedule.
- Check the quote’s validity for your intended date. This website does not state a universal validity period.
- If the model, condition, accessories, addresses or access arrangements change, have the revised scope and price confirmed before the move proceeds.
- Keep any agreed discount, delivery commitment or additional item recorded with the booking.
Compare quotations using the same bike, locations and included work. A starting price alone does not show the total cost of a door-to-door move.
3. Charges and payment
Confirm the accepted payment method, recipient, amount due at each stage and receipt arrangements in your written quotation. There is no standard advance percentage or payment deadline stated on this page.
Check whether packing, collection, transport, final delivery and applicable taxes are included or additional. Insurance is separate from transport. Verify a changed payment request through your known booking contact, keep receipts and do not share an OTP, card PIN or banking password.
4. Information for your move
- Provide accurate names, contact numbers, addresses and destination PIN codes.
- State the exact bike model, running condition, modifications and fitted accessories. Mention leaks, flat tyres, stuck wheels or steering and braking issues.
- Explain access restrictions such as a narrow approach, basement ramp or building entry timings.
- Confirm the document checklist and required authorisation where someone acts for the owner. Do not send a bike without the owner’s authority.
- Keep registration or identity documents out of the initial website enquiry and public reviews. Agree the document-sharing channel separately.
5. Personal belongings and extra items
Empty storage spaces and remove valuables, loose belongings and original documents before handover unless a specific document requirement has been agreed. Do not add extra fuel containers, hazardous or illegal items.
A helmet, bag or riding accessory is not automatically included with the motorcycle. Discuss acceptance, packing, price and insurance separately, and record every agreed item at pickup. Do not assume the bike’s policy covers personal belongings.
6. Preparation and pickup
Confirm fuel, keys, packing and loading instructions for your bike. For an electric or non-running vehicle, acceptance and preparation require individual confirmation. Do not remove a battery or dismantle accessories without appropriate model-specific guidance and an agreed plan.
Verify the pickup person through your booking contact. Photograph the bike, record existing marks and the odometer, and agree the list of keys, documents and accessories being handed over. Keep a copy of the condition and handover record.
If the bike or sender will not be available at the agreed time, contact the team promptly. Have any replacement slot and revised charges confirmed. The booking guide has the full preparation checklist.
7. Schedule and tracking
Confirm pickup, expected dispatch and the delivery window separately. Driving time between two cities is not the complete transport schedule. Share a joining date or other deadline before booking; check any specific timing commitment in the confirmation.
A consignment tracking number is provided. Use it when asking for status updates, the next expected step or a revised window. Confirm the available update method; a tracking number does not itself establish live GPS access.
Tell the team promptly if your receiving contact, address or access arrangements change. Confirm the revised handover and any charge difference rather than assuming the original arrangement still applies.
8. If the receiving arrangements change
If your accommodation is not ready or nobody can receive the bike, contact the team before delivery is arranged. Discuss an alternative date or authorised receiver.
Do not assume storage, a second visit or a changed destination is included. Availability, conditions and any charges need confirmation for the specific booking; this website does not promise free holding days or publish a standard storage fee.
9. Insurance
Our stated insurance charge is 3% of the bike’s declared value, separate from transport. A declared value of ₹1,00,000 gives a charge of ₹3,000. We use ICICI Lombard policies for insurance arrangements.
Check the issued policy or consignment certificate, insured value, journey, selected cover, exclusions and deductible. Confirm the valuation basis and applicable taxes. The charge alone does not describe coverage or promise a particular claim payment.
The insurance and damage-claim guide explains the records and reporting checks. The issued policy determines insurance cover and assessment.
10. Delivery checks and concerns
Compare the bike with your pickup photographs and condition record. Check the listed keys and accessories, record visible concerns at handover and retain photographs and delivery paperwork.
Contact the team promptly with your tracking number and details of the concern. Follow the insurer’s reporting requirements separately where applicable; notifying the transport team does not replace notice required by the insurer. Keep records and obtain instructions about inspection or repairs.
11. Booking terms and applicable rights
The agreed booking terms and applicable law govern responsibility for the move. This general website information does not replace the terms agreed for your particular booking or remove rights provided by law.
No blanket compensation amount, automatic insurance settlement or universal liability limit is stated here. If you have a question about responsibility for a particular situation, raise it before booking and retain the written answer with your quotation.
12. Changes and cancellation
Contact the team as early as possible with your reference, route, scheduled date and requested change. New dates depend on availability. Ask for written acknowledgement and confirmation of any revised amount.
Cancellation charges or refund eligibility depend on the agreed terms, the stage of the move and applicable law. If a move cannot proceed, ask for the available options and an explanation of any amount due or refundable. See the cancellation and refund information.
13. Customer reviews
The reviews page accepts feedback about your own experience. Positive and critical feedback are welcome. Submissions are checked before publication; the name, rating, route, review text and submission date become public if approved.
Do not submit advertising, copied content, abuse or another person’s private details. Leave phone numbers, exact addresses, payment details and booking documents out of public reviews. Contact the team directly for an active booking concern or a request to correct or remove a review.
14. Questions and complaints
Send your booking reference, route, a clear description of the issue and the response you need. Keep relevant quotations, receipts, photographs and correspondence together. Share sensitive documents only through an agreed private channel.
If following up, refer to the original request and any response received so the team can locate the conversation.
15. Updates to this page
This page may be updated when website information or booking procedures change. The date above identifies this version. Keep the quotation and terms supplied for your own booking; ask the team to clarify any difference before agreeing a change.
