How to send your bike
from Chandigarh
Work through your move in order: get a quote, prepare the bike, record pickup and check delivery. This guide covers photographs, documents, keys, insurance and the details to keep together.
A clear plan for both ends of the move
We arrange door-to-door bike transport from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur, with a consignment tracking number. Your part starts with the right model, addresses and dates. Together, these details define the quotation and the pickup and delivery arrangements.
Before confirming, agree the packing and loading scope, what will travel with the bike and who will attend each handover. If you are leaving Chandigarh before collection or reaching the new city later, explain that at the enquiry stage.
Step 1: Get your quote before fixing the move
Call, WhatsApp or fill the quote form with:
- Pickup area: sector or locality in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula or Zirakpur
- Destination city with full address and PIN code
- Bike make and model, e.g. "Activa 6G", "Pulsar 150", "Classic 350"
- Does it run? If not, does it roll, steer and brake?
- Any accessories or modifications: top box, crash guard, saddle stays, windscreen
- Anything going with the bike: helmet, riding jacket, a bag
- Access issues at either end: narrow gali, basement ramp, society entry timings
- Preferred pickup date, and whether it can move by a day or two
The more exact you are here, the fewer surprises later. "Royal Enfield" isn't enough. A Hunter 350 and an Interceptor 650 are in different price bands.
Step 2: Check the quote before you confirm
Your written quote should clearly show:
- Price: total, plus pickup, packing, transport, delivery and taxes separately
- Insurance: 3% of the declared value, charged on top of transport. Policy through ICICI Lombard. Ask about exclusions and any deductible before you take it. More on our insurance and damage claims page.
- Timing: pickup date and the estimated delivery window
- Payment: how much at booking, at pickup and at delivery
- Changes and cancellation: what happens if your date changes. See cancellation and refunds.
If something you discussed on the phone isn't in the quote, ask us to add it before you pay. Keep the agreed details in writing so both sides can refer to them.
Step 3: Prepare your bike before pickup day
Wash it and take photos
- Both sides of the bike
- Tank, panels and existing marks
- Controls and mirrors
- Lights, wheels and tyres
- Odometer reading
Clean enough of the bike to make its condition easy to see. Record existing marks before pickup so you can compare the same areas at delivery. Take these photos in daylight:
- Front
- Back, with the number plate visible
- Left side, full bike
- Right side, full bike
- Tank from the top
- Both mirrors and the handlebar
- Close-ups of any existing scratch, dent or crack
- Odometer reading
- Keys and accessories laid out together
Keep them in one folder on your phone, with their original dates retained.
Empty the dickey and bags
Take out everything: documents, cash, chargers, sunglasses, the rain cover you forgot about. Don't leave the original RC under the seat. If you want to send a helmet or a bag along with the bike, it should already be in your quote. Please don't add things on pickup day.
Petrol
Don't fill up before pickup. Our team will tell you how much fuel can stay in the tank when they confirm your pickup.
Accessories
Don't start unscrewing things on your own. Tell us what's fitted (top box, windscreen, crash guard, phone mount, USB charger) and agree what should be removed and how the remaining parts will be protected.
Documents and keys
Registration, identity and authorisation documents may be needed for the booking. Confirm the exact checklist, required copies and sharing channel with us before pickup. Share documents only the way our team tells you, never in the website form. Keep the spare key with you, not with the bike.
If it's a scooty
Include the front panel, floorboard edges and mirrors in your photographs. Empty the under-seat space and list any accessories that need attention.
If it's an electric scooter
For an electric two-wheeler, tell us the exact model, battery type and condition. Acceptance and preparation instructions need to be confirmed for your vehicle. Do not disconnect or remove the battery without suitable model-specific guidance. Keep the charger with you or pack it separately, as agreed.
If it doesn't start
Tell us before pickup day, not on it. Check if the tyres hold air, if it rolls freely and if the brakes work. A non-running bike may need a different loading plan and a revised quote.
Step 4: Pickup day
Confirm the collection slot and who is arriving before the handover. Allow time to check the bike and record the details rather than rushing through the paperwork.
- Verify the pickup person through your known booking contact.
- Go through the bike’s condition, existing marks and odometer reading together.
- Record the keys, documents and agreed accessories being handed over. Keep a copy.
- Check that the packing and loading arrangement matches what was agreed for your bike.
- Keep your consignment tracking number with the quote, payment receipt and photographs.
If the bike’s condition or the items being sent differ from the quotation, discuss the change before collection is completed.
Step 5: While your bike is on the way
For an update, call or WhatsApp with your consignment tracking number. Ask about the current stage, the next expected step and any revised delivery window. Confirm the available update method for your booking; a tracking number alone does not establish live GPS access.
If the delivery address or the person receiving the bike changes, tell us as early as you can and get the change confirmed in writing. A friend receiving it for you? Give us their name and number in advance, so the handover doesn't get stuck at the gate.
Step 6: Delivery day: check before you sign
Don't sign the delivery slip first and check later. Use your pickup record to work through these checks:
- Open your pickup photos and compare side by side
- Check the body, tank, mirrors, lights and indicators
- Compare and record the odometer reading
- Count the keys and every accessory on the pickup record
- Check operation where appropriate and safe, noting any change from the pickup condition
If something's wrong, write it on the delivery record before signing, take photos right then, and contact us promptly with your tracking number; follow any insurer notice requirements separately. If you took insurance, our claims guide explains what to do next.
Small mistakes that cause big headaches
- Leaving the original RC in the dickey. Confirm which documents are required and retain originals unless a specific handover requirement has been agreed.
- Agreeing to things only on the phone. Delivery date, a free helmet, a discount. If it's not in the quote or on WhatsApp, it's hard to hold anyone to it later.
- No photos of your own. Keep your own dated photographs alongside the agreed condition record.
- Adding a bag on pickup day. It changes weight, space and price. Mention it while booking.
- Signing at delivery without checking. Record visible concerns at handover so they are documented promptly; claim assessment follows the issued policy.
- Sending the spare key with the bike. If one key goes missing, you still have the other.
Paying safely
Confirm the accepted payment method, recipient and stages with our booking contact, and keep every receipt. If someone calls from an unknown number asking for payment "for your bike", call +91 87005 27865 and check first. Do not share an OTP, card PIN or banking password for a booking or refund.

A preparation timeline without guessing the delivery date
| Stage | Useful job to finish |
|---|---|
| When your move is taking shape | Get a quote using both locations, exact model, condition and dates; say which details are still provisional |
| Before accepting the booking | Settle the written scope, price, payment stages, insurance documents and available collection and delivery windows |
| Before collection day | Take condition photos, empty storage spaces, list accessories and arrange building access and the person handing over |
| At collection | Compare and retain the condition record; check the listed key and accepted items and keep the consignment reference |
| Before final delivery | Send the pickup records to the receiver and check that the agreed handover point is accessible |
Work backwards from your own travel and receiving availability. This checklist is an order of preparation, not a promised number of transport days or a minimum booking deadline.
